But while it is certainly exciting, the idea of this strange yet wonderful thing will likely also raise a lot of questions in your head. And that’s entirely normal.

When will I feel my baby move?

You will very likely feel your baby move for the first time between the 16 and 24-week mark. While others won’t yet feel the movements, even when they place a hand on your belly, from that particular moment, you will feel them move all the way up until their birth.

If you haven’t felt your baby move after 24 weeks, let your midwife know so they can make sure everything is alright.

But what will their movements feel like?

Your baby’s movements will generally feel like gentle flutters that will soon progress to jerks and even kicks.
