Your baby is now around the size of an apricot (30mm)! Their heart is now fully formed and beats around 2 – 3 times faster than an adult! They can now begin moving their limbs, although you won’t really notice it unless you’re having an ultrasound scan.

Their head is still too big for their body, but their face is now recognisable. The eyes will still be closed, but the outer ears are now starting to form. The mouth will have an upper lip, and nostrils will appear.

If you’re travelling by car, wear your seat belt even if you have a bump! And if you’re planning a long journey, make sure you account for a toilet break at least every 90 minutes. Getting up and out of your seat every now and again will help to prevent your ankles or legs from swelling and cramping. Meanwhile, a cushion in the small of your back can prevent backache.
