At 30 weeks, your baby is continuing to grow, and after just a few weeks of them being able to open their eyes, your baby’s eyes can now focus. Their vision will continue to improve and mature inside the womb. When your baby is born, they will be able to focus on your face (around 20–25 cm away). It is only at 3 months old, however, that they can follow moving objects with their eyes.

If you shine a bright light on your baby bump, you may feel your baby responding to it by moving. This is a wonderful way for you and your partner to bond with your little one!

Leg cramps during the night may become common around this time. Try curling up to sleep with a pillow between your legs to help alleviate this. Lying by your side may also help you sleep better. Keep an eye on your diet to make sure you are getting all the nutrients you need.
