Babies do not need to be bathed every day. In fact, over-bathing can dry out your baby's skin and strip it of its natural oils. A good rule of thumb is to give your baby a bath two to three times a week, but you may need to adjust this based on your baby's individual needs and preferences.
For newborns, it's generally recommended to only give sponge baths until their umbilical cord stump falls off. After that, you can start giving your baby regular baths.
In between baths, you can clean your baby with a sponge or cloth and water. Be sure to pay special attention to areas that are prone to getting dirty, such as the face, neck, and diaper area.
As your baby gets older, they may enjoy more frequent baths, but it's important to listen to their cues and never force them into a bath if they seem unhappy or uncomfortable. Always keep a close eye on your baby during bath time and make sure the water temperature is safe and comfortable for them.
