There are such a lot of benefits to having your child help around the house. Not only will this boost their confidence and sense of independence, but their fine motor skills and language development will also improve a great deal.

From watering the plants to preparing food, feeding the dog to washing their hands, there’s a lot for them to get on with. Make sure the activities don’t involve too many steps, or they’ll become confused and bored. If need be, alter tasks to make them easier.

Make sure to go about it positively and make it much more of a game than a chore. Remember to focus on the process and not the result!
